Caregiver may be accused of grave criminal acts

Florida residents are likely aware of the ongoing search for a two-year-old boy who was reported missing just days ago. The child was reportedly inside of a parked vehicle when someone stole that car and left the immediate area. The man who was caring for the boy at the time of the incident is now under suspicion concerning his disappearance, and could soon face charges for serious criminal acts.

Police have issued a statement that they believe that the 32-year-old man is responsible for the child's disappearance. At the time that a report was made to police concerning the alleged car theft, the man is believed to have been using cocaine in a nearby apartment. The man is romantically involved with the toddler's mother, although she was not present at the time.

Police have reported that the man has a criminal history that includes drug crimes and acts of domestic violence. This history may have contributed to their belief that he holds some degree of responsibility in this case. As for the car that was reported stolen with the toddler inside, it was recovered a short distance away with the keys still inside. As of the time of this report, police are continuing to search for the child.

This case has led to a great deal of concern among Florida residents, as well as outrage that a child's caregiver may have been using drugs at the time of the boy's disappearance. However, it is important to note that anyone accused of any crime, even criminal acts that are horrific in nature, is entitled to the presumption of innocence until a court of law finds otherwise. It is hoped that the authorities are able to find this child safe and sound, and that the charges against his caregiver do not extend beyond the current allegations of child neglect.
