A founding partner with over 300 criminal trials and 35 years as a criminal trial attorney, David R. Damore, a 1974 Florida State College of Law graduate, heads the Firm's Felony division. Mr. Damore has served Volusia County for over 20 years and is a former Chief Homicide Prosecutor and Chief of the Felony Trial Division of the State Attorneys' Office where he received recognition and awards for his leadership and excellent, including the prestigious "Top Gun" award for professional accomplishments. As Chief Homicide Prosecutor, Mr. Damore prosecuted over 50 1st degree murders and received national media attention on Dateline, Criminal Justice Files, and Courtroom TV for his prosecution of many of Volusia County's most notorious murderers including infamous female serial killer Aileen Wournos (featured in the 2003 film Monster), Kosta Fotopoulus & Deidra Hunt and the Farina Brothers. In private practice, Mr. Damore continues to protect those accused of crimes in both State and Federal Courts throughout Florida.
